On the 27th of April, 2018, Eko Hotels & Suites hosted American rapper, J. Cole. The event has since been talked about in glowing terms by Nigerians but Americans have been mocking Nigerians instead. While Nigerians have been celebrating watching the performance of a rapper of J. Cole’s stature, some Americans have been making critical comments about the concept behind bringing the International rapper down to Nigeria. Their comments suggests that they have a myopic perception of Nigeria and they are surprised to see that basic social items such as electricity, IPhones and a concert stage are available in Nigeria. At the recently held Castle Lite event at Eko Hotel & Suites, there was high level of fan love on display. Not only did a fan try to have a feel of J. Cole, another fan attempted to the same to Wizkid. While the Starboy was performing one of his many hit songs, a fan stepped on the stage and ran towards the singer but his attempt was foiled by the fiercely looking bodyguard who whisked him away. According to reports, the singer received an award from NIJ, for his excellence in Editorial Writing. Who knew that  Davido  is a savage? Well if you were ever in doubt, the singer has cleared the doubt with his recent act of spending $1000 to troll a non-fan on Instagram. A certain @hopewellc took to Instagram to narrate how Davido failed to command attention when he stepped into Zimbabwe’s Pomona Nando. He made this post perhaps with no intention to poke the singer but Davido is not a man to allow people smear him. In reaction to the post by @hopewellc, Davido initiated a ‘best caption wins’ challenge using a picture of @hopewellc, with a promise of $1000 for the winner. After several entries, Davido found his winner in @Princepaul whose preferred caption for the picture is ‘Begger.’ This caption was satisfactory to Davido who clearly enjoyed trolling @hopewellc even at a cost of a $1000. It is more likely that a new fuse blows up than for  Phyno ’s most recent single titled  ‘ One Chance ’ , to blow up. On the recently released record, the rapper seems to have watered down his lyrical genius as he shabbily packages this below par song for his teeming fans. What seems to be the worst of it is the fact that this would be listed as an international collaboration in the  singer  rapper’s discography in which he features Jamaican dance hall/reggae singer, Kranium. Personally, I feel this is just a weak attempt at creating a hit. No doubt, the party hippy sound is currently the  ish  right now but as a creative,  Phyno  betrays the art by coming out with something so willy-nilly. In the past,  Phyno  had demonstrated to us that one doesn’t need a dance track to get popular like he did in the collaborative effort with his cohort,  Olamide , on  Ghost Mode . If there is anything obvious about  Davido , it is his deep pocket. The singer is rich and proud of his (father’s) wealth that’s why he asked to be called Omo Baba Olowo, meaning “The Rich Man’s Son.” However, Davido is not only rich, he is also benevolent. In addition to his philanthropic gestures of previous years, Davido recently foot the surgery bill of a lady who works at the airport. The bill is believed to be about N1.5 million heavy and Davido shouldered the responsibility. The colleagues of the lady decided to show appreciation to the singer by carrying placards with inscriptions of his name and statements of his benevolent action. Davido recorded the scene where all of that was going on and decided to share it on his Insta story.
